The Fit Shack is Back

The Fit Shack is Back.

Yep! And I love it. I have a long history with The Fit Shack, this is where I launched my online mind-body business in 2007. I wrote my first post and published it on March 07 2007 which you can read over on Fearless Fat Loss here if you want to check it out.

Yeah, all of my original content I wrote on The Fit Shack beginning March 07 2007 is on my site FearlessFatLoss.com. That’s because… well keep reading below.

And then, to move on with the story… I lost my little buddy. 🙁

The Fit Shack Went Lost, Into The Wild…

In 2011 I was filled with self-doubt about my main domain name for my weight loss mindset coaching business, which at that time was The Fit Shack. Looking back, I wish I’d just kept going and used my (then new) domain FearlessFatLoss.com for brand-new content while leaving The Fit Shack in place, as it was.

But I wasn’t satisfied.

I was in a year-long business training/mastermind group led by Ali Brown and I thought that The Fit Shack wasn’t “good enough”. I kept asking “What does The Fit Shack MEAN? Who cares about The Fit Shack?”.

Well, a lot of people did! The Fit Shack amassed over 2 million views on the Internet but I didn’t think it was all that great.

I wanted to move on to Fearless Fat Loss because I know that FEAR is the #1 issue stopping you from dropping the fat.

Fear is Fat. Fat is Fear.

F.A.T. = Fear Attracting Thoughts.

And on the topic of FEAR, I was afraid that The Fit Shack wasn’t niched enough. It wasn’t specific enough. It didn’t speak enough.

And then I lost TFS. Little buddy went by the wayside while I was focusing on my new topic (and new website) FearlessFatLoss.com.

BTW…. when I say that I lost my little buddy I mean that I didn’t renew the domain thefitshack.com and then some creepy company picked it up and did nothing with it. For years.

I tried to get The Fit Shack back and couldn’t get it back. Little buddy was lost. And I felt like a loser for losing it. I even felt depressed about the whole thing.

I started on The Fit Shack, then I didn’t think it was good enough, then I lost it, then I wanted it back.

Hey, do you know how many weight loss coaching clients I’ve worked with whose deepest fear was that they weren’t good enough? Their feelings of not being good enough drove their out-of-control eating and stopped them from getting to their healthiest weight, until I coached them, that is.

So, back to the story…. I couldn’t get thefitshack.com back and I pretty much gave up on it. The last time I checked on it I thought that some kind of online clothing shop had purchased it. That was the first time I’d seen any real content on the domain in all the years since I lost it.

During the years that I lost it I was working on my podcast, which is published through FearlessFatLoss.com, and I kept focusing on coaching new, awesome, weight loss coaching clients to help them stop struggling with food and their weight loss in eight weeks or less. That’s the work I’ve been doing since 2009.

The Fit Shack started me off in that direction, and even though The Fit Shack helped me build momentum with my weight loss coaching business, I wasn’t happy with it, and yeah… I’ve already written about the story up above. 😉

But I have one more point to make here, in the saga of The Fit Shack….

Never Give Up

Never give up if you have a strong desire to get to your goal weight, and stay there.

Never give up on any goal that has any real meaning for you.
